2020 Bach, Rock and Shake Festival

For its seventeenth year, local students from area schools surrounding Griffith Park: the Los Feliz, Silverlake, Atwater and East Hollywood areas will onceagain take over The Greek Theatre Los Angeles for “Bach, Rock & Shake”. The annual show is truly a community event. The Bach portion begins with a performance by the King Middle School Orchestra and John Marshall High School Symphony Orchestra. Then the students from Ivanhoe Elementary Guitar Club and Marshall High Cheer and Drumline will play country, blues and rock. The Marshall High Dance Ensemble ends the evening of Shakespeare, featuring Marshall High’s innovative combination of theatre and dance.

Greek Theatre Advisory Committee (GTAC) and Los Angeles Parks Foundation (LAPF) are coordinating the funding for this project. LAPF is a 501(c)3 whose mission is to enhance, expand, preserve and promote public recreation, parksand open space for the people of Los Angeles. The Greek Theatre Advisory Committee (GTAC) is a nine-member advisory panel charged with making recommendations regarding the Greek Theatre’s programming and expenditure of funds, and working with the Greek Theatre’s Operator to establish community involvement and cultural development.
